Part two - my picture with analysis

  • This is an eye level three quarter shot of a Caucasian teenage female. I chose to her an eye level shot in order to show that she does not want to create a distance between herself and her audience.
  • She is holding a guitar which denotes that she possesses a musical talent and creates acoustic music.
  • She is wearing a white crop top with a bomber jacket with black leggings. These are articles of clothing that teenage/ young adult females typically wear suggesting that she conforms to certain stereotypes and directs her music at a young age demographic.
  •  The difference of saturation from the sky and the ground suggests that she may have a conflicting nature and indicates that she harbours powerful yet contrasting emotions which may be reflected in the music she makes.
  • The fact that she stands alone gives the impression that she is an independent woman with a message.
  • She is not giving direct contact to the camera  and there is a shadow cast on her face which demonstrates that she conveys a sense of mystery and suggests that she may have a deep or dark personality which she may discuss in her music.
  • The barren setting also suggests an emptiness in her life which suggests that something horrible may have happened to her in her past which has led to her living an independent life.
  • I decided to keep the make up of the female minimal in order to showcase her natural beauty.
